Located in the heart of the Nicola Valley, Merritt will charm you with its sprawling ranchlands and bluegrass hills. Luckily, Merritt folks enjoy a good country song. Each July, thousands of music fans from around the world flock to the Merritt Mountain Music Festival, which has previously headlined big names like Randy Travis, Pam Tillis, Alan Jackson, and Brooks & Dunn. Buy a day pass or pitch a tent and stay for the entire four-day event. You'll have a toe-tappin', boot-scootin' good time!

Merritt is located 128 km (79 mi.) south of Kamloops and 271 km (168 mi.) northeast of Vancouver, where the Coquihalla (Hwy 5) meets Highways 97C, 5A and 8.
